Highfield Level 3 Award in Undertaking End-Point Assessment (EPA) is designed for people who want to become End Pont Assessors. The Government aims for three million apprentices and everyone needs an end point assessment which means there will be a great demand for End Point Assessors. There are apprentices across every sector of employment to if you have excellent occupational competence and/or qualifications and are looking for a new opportunity this could be the perfect course for you. If you have no previous experience of assessment this course will teach you the basic assessment methods, the process and procedure of apprenticeship standards and EPA methodologies, EPA grading and quality assurance processes.

What does this training include?
You will learn the skills required of an EPA and the practice and process of end point assessment.  It will provide specific knowledge and skills for those who already have sector/occupational competence, but would like to gain a more specialised understanding of EPA processes and practices.  It will support them to understand and use EPA principles and practices to assess an apprentice against an apprenticeship standard.

The Principles and Practices of End-Point Assessment

This qualification is assessed by the following method:
The qualification is assessed by the completion of a portfolio of evidence that must cover all assessment criteria. You will demonstrate assessment skills by making, recording and justifying assessment decisions of work and projects against apprenticeship standards and assessment plans.  A requirement of the qualification is that you must complete assessments covering 3 EPA methods. These will take place in a simulated environment during taught sessions.
You will also complete a series of short assignment to demonstrate your understanding and knowledge.


How long is the training for?
The course lasts for four full day taught sessions and you are expected to complete a series of assignments and submit these electronically within 10 working days of your training event.
